March 29. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services today reported 1,372 new COVID-19 cases, for a total of 910,833 statewide since the outbreak began a year ago.

Hospitalizations

Statewide, hospitalizations fell to 873 statewide, down from 933 on Friday.

Deaths

There have been a total of 12,085 COVID-19 related deaths statewide, up 249 in one week. The NCDHHS has stopped reporting COVID-19 data on Saturdays and Sundays.

Testing

The statewide positive test rate was at 5.7 percent in today’s report. Mecklenburg County was at 5.6 percent.

Vaccinations

The NCDHHS is reporting 35.2 percent of NC adults have been at least partially vaccinated; 21.6 percent have been fully vaccinated.

North Mecklenburg

Cornelius: 2,663 cumulative; 24 deaths total.

Davidson: 1,538 cumulative; 15 deaths total.

Huntersville: 5,435 cumulative; 47 deaths total.
