Madeline Shoemaker Brickey, 77 of Concord died April 6, 2015 died at the Gordon Hospice House. She was born on August 3, 1937 in Rockingham County, VA to the late Patrick and Ella Shoemaker. She was a member of Oak Grove U.M.C. and worked in the gift shop at University Hospital.

She is survived by her husband James; daughters, Kathy Phillips and husband Perry of Charlotte and Andrea Wilson and husband Ronnie of Huntersville; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister.

A funeral service will be held at 2PM Friday, April 10 at Oak Grove U.M.C. with Rev. CherLue Vang and Rev. Harry Queen officiating. Visitation will be 1-2 PM prior in the sanctuary. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
