Lost Worlds Oktoberfest Sept. 10

The Lost Worlds Oktoberfest Stein and other merchandise will be on sale Saturday

Sept. 9. It’s time to don your finest lederhosen and get ready to polka ’til it hurts.

The first of Lost Worlds Brewing’s Oktoberfest celebrations is this Saturday, Sept. 10 with doors opening at 11 am. The second Oktoberfest celebration will be Oct. 15.

Admission is free to both events.

Fill your steins with Lost Worlds own Oktoberfest lager and fill your bellies with traditional German fare. Rowdy Dogs food truck will  be on site serving up brats, kraut and more from 1-8 pm.

Expect plenty of games and activities like the new stein holding contest. Last one holding wins!

O’zapft is! (It’s tapped)

Washam

Traditionally the Mayor of Munich opens Oktoberfest with the tapping of a keg and shouting “O’zapft is!”. This year, the German tradition comes to Cornelius as Mayor Woody Washam will tap a special cask of the Oktoberfest lager.

“I am excited and honored to tap the cask at Lost Worlds this Saturday – a first for me as mayor,” said Washam. “I love our great Cornelius breweries!!”

The tapping of the cask takes place at 3:30 pm and shortly after the OOPS Polka Band takes the stage and accordion to sources will perform German style Oompah music and sing-a-longs.

Prost!
