June 5. Retired attorney Catherine Bentz received the 2022 Outstanding New Mentor from SCORE Charlottee. The business law and estate planning lawyer practiced in Cornelius for more than 20 years.

The award recognizes the volume of mentoring sessions she undertook in 2022, her follow-up rate with clients she mentored and her consistent support in promoting SCORE Charlotte in the Lake Norman area and across a variety of organizations.

“Shortly after I retired, I felt I had the gifts, contacts and experience to be of service to SCORE Charlotte in helping small businesses get started, grow and expand,” Bentz said.
