Lois Evelyn Johnston, 83, of Huntersville, NC passed away October 29, 2015 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville, NC after a brief illness.  She was born December 25, 1931 in Huntersville to the late Albert G. Johnston and Sara Mae Johnston Caldwell.

Evelyn retired from Mecklenburg County Treasury Dept. in 1990 after 39 years of service. She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Earnhardt and brother, Albert C. Johnston.  She is survived by her sister Margie J. Taylor of Huntersville, NC; nieces Ann Settlemyer of Lorena, TX, Lois Lathan of Richmond, VA and nephew David Earnhardt of Huntersville, NC.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Huntersville Presbyterian Church Cemetery following the service.
