Sept. 18. Two Cornelius students, Hunter Conley and Jacob Hargett, have won an academic scholarship from Autobell Car Wash Inc. Both Conley and Hargett are area senior who plan to attend the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.

The Autobell Scholarship is an annual program open to current Autobell employees who are graduating high school seniors or have received a high school diploma. Along with a completed application, candidates must submit references, an acceptance letter from an accredited college or university, and an essay that discusses an educational or creative aspect of their employment experience. The Autobell Selection Committee reviews all applications and chooses the scholarship recipients.
