Feb. 1. The Kilted Buffalo in Birkdale Village will close for a month, starting today for sidewalk and water main repairs.

The unique sports pub-barber shop, which recently announced an agreement with village owners for a five-year lease extension, will re-open March 3 in time for March Madness and St. Patrick’s Day.

The sidewalk in front of Kilted Buffalo on Townley Road and around the corner is being dug up to  change the main water lines, Kilted Buffalo posted on Facebook,  and there will be other cosmetic changes to the storefront.

The work at the corner where the GAP used to be has already started.

Kilted Buffalo posted that during the temporary closing, the interior would get fresh paint, new bar stools and other cosmetic changes.

If you need a Kilted Buffalo fix in February, check out the one in LangTree in Mooresville or the newest location in Plaza Midwood. Staff from Birkdale will be filling in.
