James Wilson Earnhardt, 56, of Denver, NC died February 2, 2015. He was born on April 9, 1958 in Mecklenburg County to the late Kenneth and Hazel Douglas Earnhardt. He worked for Duke Energy for 36 years, primarily as a lineman and transformer technician.

Survivors include his sons, Jason (wife Allyson) of Huntersville, Cody and Jesse, of Denver; step-son, Ryan Westberg of Denver; sisters, Pat Earnhardt Little (husband Richard) of Cornelius and Sybbie Earnhardt of Huntersville; and grandchild, Ty.

Memorials may be made to the Levine and Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Dr. Huntersville, NC 28078. The family would like to thank the hospice house staff for their love and care as well as his friends from Duke Energy for all of their support.

The viewing will be held from 6-8 PM Friday, February 6 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville. The service to celebrate his life will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Cornelius.
