It’s Marcus vs. Cole for NC Senate 41 in November

April 15. It looks like NC Sen. Natasha Marcus will have a frequent filer as her opponent in the November election. Christoper Cole, a Huntersville resident, will run in District 41 as the Constitution Party candidate. Cole, who has run unsuccessfully for a number of local, state, and federal offices, supports term limits.

Brian Sisson’s petition drive to get on the November ballot came up short, with less than one-fourth of the signatures he needed to run.

Sisson is a former Huntersville Town Commissioner as well as an owner, with his wife, Tricia, of The Range at Lake Norman on Bailey Road. The Sissons moved to Cornelius three years ago from Huntersville.

Brian Sisson, a registered independent, needed 6,500 physical signatures of the registered voters in this district. He got a total of 1,456 verified signatures.

Tricia Sisson is a former chair of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Cornelius Town Board.
