Items worth an estimated $350,000 from Connor Quay home in online auction

Auction items include a Wurlitzer 1015 Jukebox, Tiger Woods autographed oil painting and historic firearms.

Dec. 7. By Dave Yochum. Despite a headline in another publication, an auction involving the contents of a lakefront mansion will be online, drawing to a close this coming Sunday.

The exceptional house at 17240 Connor Quay was sold by Daniel and Judith Moore to race car driver Kevin Harvick and his wife DeLana for $6.75 million Oct. 30.

The home’s contents, collected by the Moores over decades, are exceptional as well.

Up for silent bidding right now is an autographed painting of Tiger Woods, estimated between $40,000 and $50,000, as well as hundreds of other items ranging from a Carte de visite photo of Abraham Lincoln reading the Bible to his son Tad (estimate $225 to $300) to a Wurlitzer “bubble” juke box (estimate $6000 to $8,000) which is already at $7,850.

If you’re a baseball fan, there’s a Honus Wagner signed baseball (estimate $10,000 to $15,000).

Shane Wyatt Parker

Shane Wyatt Parker, CEO of Mooresville-based Wyatt and Son Auctions, said the Moores “collected many different things, such as historical documents, Civil War items, baseballs and baseball cards, movie memorabilia, etc.”

All of the items in the auction are from the residence which was the site of scenes from “Talladega Nights” starring Will Farrell.

There won’t be a live, onsite auction, due to the amount of people it would bring into the gated neighborhood, Parker said.

The estimated value of the items that are up for auction is $350,000.
