ROWLAND

Mrs. Ida Weatherford Rowland, 85, of Cornelius, NC died Monday May 4, 2015 at the Serenity House in Huntersville, NC.  Born December 11, 1929 in Darlington County SC she was a daughter of the late Troy Leonard Weatherford and Mattie Woodard Pendaruis.

She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and retired salesperson from Roses.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Bethel Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Bill Cain officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.

A fantastic mother, loving grandmother and sister, she leaves to cherish her memory her son, Jack Rowland of Cornelius; sister, Dorothy Pigg of Charlotte; son-in-law, Ed Reule of Charlotte; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harril “Hard Luck” Rowland; son, John Rowland and daughter, Terry Reule.
