Ian’s remnants: Tree damage, drizzle

Church Street blocked near Pine

Oct. 1. Ian has left behind lots of branches, some limbs and a handful of downed trees in Cornelius, with yard clean-up the order of the day. Many events are cancelled and mist and drizzle are what to expect weather-wise today.

—As of 7 am Saturday, a fallen tree was still blocking Church Street near Pine.

—Jetton Park has opened to automobiles after closing during the storm yesterday.

Jetton Park closed Friday

—About 118 Duke Energy customers were without power in Davidson between Woodland and South Thompson.

—Cornelius Police said there were random outages on the east side of town last night.

—The Davidson Farmers Market has been cancelled as well as town-sponsored concerts tonight and tomorrow night. The All American Dog Show in Robbins Park has been moved to Oct. 9.
