How to Track Santa on Christmas Eve

NORAD on duty Christmas Eve

Dec. 21. Have you ever wondered what time Santa Claus will arrive in North Carolina?

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) knows. It helps defend the United States by tracking incoming planes and ships and, naturally, Santa Claus, his sled and nine reindeer appear every year like clockwork.

If you would rather talk to someone at NORAD to find out where Santa is located, you can call NORAD Tracks Santa Operations Center beginning at 4 am MST on Dec. 24. You can call 1 877 HI-NORAD (1 877 446-6723) to talk directly to a NORAD staff member who will be able to tell you Santa’s exact location. Operators are available until midnight.
