Jan. 16 – By Ryan Moxon. The Hough boys basketball team travels to North Mecklenburg tonight for its biggest matchup of the season, looking to build on a strong start.

The Huskies enter the game at 10-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play. North Mecklenburg, 12-2 on the season, is ranked seventh in the state by MaxPreps.

Hough’s solid start has been led by senior forward John Slusher, who is averaging 15 points per game. The Huskies feature a balanced offense, with three players averaging double figures and the team scoring 68 points per game just past the midway point of the season.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at North Mecklenburg High School. Tickets are $9 on the GoFan app and the game will be streamed live on NFHS.org.
