March 25. US Rep. Alma Adams (NC-12) is sponsoring the North Carolina Congressional Art Competition, which is open to Charlotte-Mecklenburg high school students who reside in and/or attend school in the 12th Congressional District.

“From Romare Bearden of Charlotte to Herb Jackson of Davidson and many others, the 12th District has a lot of artistic talent,” said Adams, the only art professor in Congress.
