March 21.  The Town of Cornelius and Lake Norman Nutrition are partnering to raise funds for the Cornelius Never Forget 9/11 Monument.

The Town of Cornelius is in the process of constructing a monument at Cornelius Fire Station #1 on S. Main St.   It will honor first responders and citizens who were affected by the events on Sept. 11, 2001.  The monument will include a piece of steel from the World Trade Center.  The goal is to raise $100,000 and dedicate the monument during the Sept. 11 ceremony.

The Heroes Weight Loss Challenge begins April 5 and runs through May 17, with all proceeds going to the monument.
