The Town of Cornelius Police Department and Cornelius-Lemley Fire & Rescue will meet on the ballfield for a Guns & Hoses Charity Softball Game on Saturday, July 30, 2016. The event will kickoff at 11 am at Bailey Road Park. There will be food trucks, local breweries, t-shirt sales and raffle items. Proceeds benefit the Cornelius 9/11 Monument.

Opening ceremonies will begin at 11 am with Cornelius resident Hailey Vogel singing the National Anthem. Charlotte Radio Personalities Ace & TJ from Channel 96.1 will also be joining in the game and playing with the Police and Fire Departments.

Food trucks including Yummi Banhi Mi, Traditions BBQ, What-a-Burger, and Kool-Cat Ice Cream will be selling food and Bayne Brewing Co. and D9 Brewery will be selling local craft beers with proceeds to benefit the monument. T-shirts and tank tops will be on sale for $20 (cash only) with adult and kids sizes available and a tent with raffle items. Kids can enjoy a bounce house and a Springfree trampoline.
