Get ready: Rain, rain and rain

May 18. The National Weather Service says rain comes in late this afternoon, with more rain forecast for—wait for it—the rest of the week. There’s a strong chance of rain each day, and if you add it all up, it’s a lot—maybe 4 inches, maybe more. Take a look here for the seven-day forecast. On the coast, Gov. Roy Cooper is urging people to pay close attention to Tropical Storm Arthur, the first named storm of the year.

“Everyone in our coastal areas should remain aware and cautious as Arthur brushes our coast on Monday,” he said.

Pay close attention to the forecast and don’t take chances in the surf.
