Full steam ahead for the inaugural Travel Expo
Jan. 15 — Last night’s inaugural Lake Norman Luxury Travel Expo drew more than 250 guests to the Cain Center for the Arts. Attendees with a passion for travel had the opportunity to speak directly with travel experts and attend live panel discussions.
“The support from the community has been amazing,” said Jen Campbell Boles, founder and CEO of Explore More Travel Co. “It exceeded my expectations.”
More than 17 leading travel brands were on hand, sharing information on experiences ranging from African safaris and Arctic expeditions to Mediterranean cruises. The expo emphasized an education-first, no-pressure atmosphere.
“We’re bringing together world-class travel experiences and a community that deeply values culture, creativity and purpose,” Boles said.
Guests enjoyed light refreshments, with a cash bar available. All proceeds benefited the Cain Center. Raffle prizes included carry-on luggage, gift cards and bottles of prosecco.
Plans are already underway for the event to return next year.
“Based on the turnout, I have no doubt this will become an annual event,” Boles said.
