Fishers of Men tournament coming to LKN

Feb. 26. The Fishers of Men National Bass Tournament will bring five events to Lake Norman during the next two years. The organization operates fishing tournaments in 34 states. This is the first one on Lake Norman, according to Travis Dancy, director of sales at VIsit Lake Norman, the local convention and visitors bureau.

The District 4 Championship will be held Sept. 7-11 of this year as well as again in September of 2023.

“We are very excited about bringing the Fishers of Men’s District 4 Championship to Lake Norman and look forward to bringing some of the best anglers in the region to the area for five different events over the next three years,” said Bobby Eads, senior vice president of Fishers of Men.

In addition to the two District Championships this fall and in fall of 2023, Lake Norman will also host the Ugly Stik World’s Largest Santa Claus Bass Tournament each year beginning this Dec. 11.

Last year’s inaugural Ugly Stik World’s Largest Santa Claus Bass Tournament had 149 boats and 298 anglers compete.
