Fire damages home on Peninsula Club

Oct. 18. Police said there were no injuries caused by a multi-alarm fire at 18900 Peninsula Club Drive. The 3,200 square foot house at the corner of Locharron and Peninsula Club was damaged by fire and water.

Smoke was coming from the roof and a second-floor bedroom over the entry way around 1 pm, with firefighters from responding from Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville. All told, there were more than a dozen fire and police units on the scene.

The 27-year-old golf-course house, which is assessed at $716,000, sustained fire damage above and around the entryway.

Property records show the owners are Taltha and Daniel Gardner.

Cornelius Police were directing traffic, including golf carts with youngsters, around the emergency units. All told, there were more than a dozen fire and police units on the scene.
