Nov. 6. Get out your berets, The Warehouse Performing Arts Institute is launching a film appreciation course, “Film As Art,” that will run on six consecutive Wednesdayevenings, 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm from Jan. 13 through Feb. 17. Each class will present a landmark art film that doesn’t normally receive substantial attention, and topics like imaging, sound, music, performance, and editing structure will be discussed. The instructor will be Robert Maier, director of Studio C Cinema.  He has worked in films and television for 35 years and teaches film-making at Gaston College. Seating is limited to 20 persons.
