Events Nov. 7 – Nov. 13

This “ruff” week beings with the Rural Hill Annual Sheep Dog Trials starting on Friday.  Saturday has the Rags to Riches car Cruise-In which features a variety of cars.  Veterans day is on Monday.  HuntersvilleDavidson, and Cornelius all have their own celebrations and parades.  Be sure to check out the Cornelius Today Photo Exhibit on Nov. 14 at Truliant in Cornelius.

Be a Lion

Rural Hill Sheep Dog Trials

A funfilled festival running Nov8-10 featuring the United States Border Collie Handlers’ Association, Carolina Dock Dogs, dog sports demonstrations, and more!

Arts at the Mill

Arts at the Mill is a three-day indoor fine arts festival at the historic Mill in downtown Mooresville. 70 artists, all from the Eastern U.S., will display and sell their artwork during the festival.

 

Saturday Nov. 9

Music Jam

From 9am – Noon there is a music jam with some of the areas most talented musicians and always promises fun and a great crowd. Richard’s Coffee Shop, Mooresville.

Rust to Riches Cruise-In

Our Dream Auto Restorations will be hosting the Rust to Riches Cruise-in. The event will be a celebration of the life of our owner Jeff Arnold who recently passed away.  Mooresville.

Sunday Nov. 10

Outdoor Adventure Hike

Enjoy a leisurely hike through Ramsey Creek Park Nature Trails. Participants will learn about the trees, plants, and wildlife as they enjoy a fall stroll.

Veteran’s Luncheon

All veterans and their guest are invited to lunch in the Family Life Center.  The spouse of any veteran that is no longer with us is also invited. Please RSVP to the church office by November 4th. Mt. Zion UMC.

Charlotte in the Revolution

In honor of Veteran’s Day, Tom Phlegar will share stories of Revolutionary War events that occurred in the Charlotte area.  Duke Mansion.

 

Monday Nov. 11

Organ at Davidson

Davidson’s Clara Gerdes, home from graduate studies at Yale School of Sacred Music, shares her amazing organ performance talent with the November 11 Organ at Davidson series starting at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary of Davidson College Presbyterian Church.

Veterans Day Ceremony

Davidson – Join the Town of Davidson as we honor our veterans for their service to our country. The ceremony will include color guard, laying of the wreath, and a keynote speaker.

Veterans Day Program

Cornelius – Join the Town of Cornelius and American Legion Post 86 for our annual Veterans Day Program, honoring military veterans and those currently serving in our Armed Forces.

Footloose the Musical

Community School of Davidson and Mooresville Community Children’s Theatre have forged a unique collaboration that will bring the hit musical FOOTLOOSE, based on the iconic movie of the same name, to venues in both Davidson and Mooresville this November.  CSD Artspace, Davidson.
