Events March 5 – March 11

Downtown Mooresville will host their St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday. Walk with a Doc is a great way to exercise and learn more about healthcare.  The Big Red Bus Blood Drive swings by Cornelius Town Hall on Tuesday. Donate if you can.  The Cornelius Youth Orchestra’s Spring Concert will be help Tuesday as well.

101 Dalmations

The Mooresville Children’s Theater will be performing Disney’s 101 Dalmations March 5 at 7 pm. Charles & Mack Citizen Center, Mooresville.

 

Friday, March 6

Frankfurter Friday’s at OTPH

Join us for Frankfurter Friday’s weekly beginning in March from 6 pm til late and enjoy the area’s tastiest hot dogs, chicago dogs, chili dogs and more. Old Town Public House, Cornelius.

 

Saturday, March 7

Walk with a Doc

The Cornelius PARC Department and Novant Health’s Lakeside Family Physicians-Antiquity are excited to host their very first Walk with a Doc event at the Antiquity Greenway, 180 N. Zion Avenue, on Saturday, March 7, at 9 am. Walk your own pace and distance.

Downtown Mooresville St. Patricks Day Parade

Don’t miss the annual Downtown Mooresville Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.  It’s a fantastic celebration with Irish pipe bands, Connick School of Irish Dance, green cars, tumblers, loads of entertainment, family fun and more. The parade kicks off at 3 pm and will march along Main Street from Iredell Avenue to Center Avenue. 215 N. Main St.

PBKW Team Constructed IV

Magic The Gathering Card Game Team Constructed Event!  Legacy – Modern – Pioneer.  Saturday March 7. This event has sold out the last 3 years.  Register Early.  Doors open 10 am.  Players meeting 12 pm sharp. Parker Banner Kent & Wayne, Cornelius.

 

Monday, March 9

Read with a Cop

Read with a Cop is for children, ages kindergarten through fifth grade. For an hour on the following Mondays, officers from the Davidson Police Department will be at the Davidson Library to read with the kids. 4 pm to 5 pm.

 

Tuesday, March 10

Russian National Ballet presents Swan Lake

Swan Lake tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer’s curse. The Russian National Ballet brings to life one of the most beloved story book ballet. 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Duke Performance Hall, Davidson.

Insects

The Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists (LNWC) will present “Insects” on Tuesday, March 10th at 7 pm in the downstairs community room at the Mooresville Library.  Dr. Christopher Paradise, Professor of Biology and Environmental Studies at Davidson College, will discuss these small creatures that are the base of many of the world’s ecosystems.

Big Red Bus Blood Drive

The Big Red Bus is pulling up to Cornelius Town Hall on Tuesday, March 10 from 10:30 am – 3:30 pm. The blood drive is sponsored by One Blood and all are invited to participate!

Cornelius Youth Orchestra Spring Concert

CYO Spring Concert will be held at 7:30 pm in the Joe V. Knox Auditorium at the Charles Mack Citizen Center. Students, should arrive at 6:30 pm.

 

Wednesday, March 11

Primal Brewery Cornhole League

Sign up is open for our Spring Cornhole league. Teams will compete in a league format followed by playoffs to determine who will move forward to the Super Bag event. Cornhole League night is every Wednesday 6:30 pm til whenever for 6 weeks. Primal Brewery, Huntersville.
