Events June 13 – June 16

The Charlotte Symphony will perform popular favorites and classics by Tchaikovsky and Mozart at the annual Symphony Under the Stars concert Friday at the EnergyExplorium on Lake Norman. Bring a picnic and a blanket—or come by boat over and enjoy the music from the water.  The Cornelius Arts Center’s next session of adult summer art classes is coming soon. Registration opens June 24 for five-week classes on drawing, pottery and painting. Just a heads up, the Newsmakers Breakfast on Medical Marijuana and CBD oil is selling out fast. It’s Wednesday morning at The Peninsula Club.

LangTree Live

Live music every Thursday. DeCarlo will perform 70s and 80s hits from Boston, Styx, Foreigner and more. 5-9 p.m. at LangTree Lake Norman in Mooresville.

Outdoor Concert Series

LaLaCaboosa is back! Chunky Daddy will perform 6:30-9 p.m. at Veterans Park in Huntersville.

Family Movie

Free showing of “Incredibles 2.” 2-4 p.m. at the Cornelius Branch Library.

Street Festival

Monthly festival features live music, food trucks, craft beer, local artists, kids’ activities, more. 6-10 p.m. at Oak Street Mill in Cornelius.

Art Show

“Art of the Wild” opening reception. 6-8 p.m. at the Mooresville Arts Depot.

Mingling on the Greens

Bring a chair or blanket and the family for live music. 7-9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays at Birkdale Village in Huntersville.

Gift card giveaways for Father’s Day, recipe ideas using beer, live music by Charlotte Folk Society. 8 a.m.-noon at Veterans Park in Huntersville.

Yacht Yoga for a Cause

Monthly yoga class for all ability levels. Proceeds go to charity causes. 9 a.m. at Luxury Yacht Charters in Cornelius.

Tai Chi at the Plantation
