Edwin Quarles to seek re-election to Huntersvillle Town Board

May 22. First-term Huntersville Commissioner Edwin Quarles will run for a second term. He said his first term provided insights to the process of local government as well as “what it takes to get real results for real people.”

He was instrumental in the implementation and execution of the town’s inaugural Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration as well as a new Veterans Service Office in Huntersville’s new Town Hall.

In a second term he said he will push for:

—Strong, diversified economic growth — so Huntersville “can thrive without raising your taxes.”

—More support for our police officers and public safety teams.

—Continued revitalization of downtown Huntersville.
