CALDWELL

Donald S. Caldwell, 90, of Charlotte died August 12, 2015. He was born on September 21, 1924 in Charlotte to the late Samuel and Mary Caldwell. He served in the US Army and was a member of Trinity U.M.C.

Survivors include his daughter, Donna Kerns and her husband Rick of Mooresville; sister, Mary Ruth Gibson of Charlotte and grandchildren, Kevin and Troy, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn and brothers Morris and Charles Conard and sister, Sarah.

The funeral service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, August 16 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Wade Ogle officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will follow in the family life center. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
