Dawn Michum Beard, 85, of Charlotte, died February 9, 2015. She was born in Shelby, NC on March 31, 1929 to the late Rex and Leck Michum.

Survivors include her sons, Jim of Texas, Mike (wife Cynthia) of Mooresville, Don of Sherrill’s Ford, Wade (wife Kalisa) of Denver; daughter, Betsy Beard of Cornelius; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (mda.org).

The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 13 in the chapel of James Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Felts officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 prior. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn West.
