Davidson will seek a replacement for Town Commissioner who resigned

Jan. 11. A special nominating committee has been organized to find a replacement for Commissioner Matthew Dellinger who has resigned from the Davidson Town Board effective Jan. 9. The Town Board appointed Mayor Knox, Commissioner Autumn Rierson-Michael and Commissioner Ryan Fay to find a replacement for the remainder of Dellinger’s term.

He and his family will be moving from Davidson to a new residence in Davidson’s Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction.

Criteria to be considered by the nominating committee include involvement in Town government; graduates of Civics 101; and leadership roles on nonprofits.

Qualified residents who would like to being considered should contact the Town Board via board@Townofdavidson.org.

All five sitting members of the Davidson Town Board ran unopposed in the fall elections.
