Davidson National Night Out is Aug. 3

July 23. National Night Out is a really fun event across the country. The Davidson Police Dept.’s crime prevention and community-building edition runs 5 pm to 7 pm Tuesday, Aug. 3 at Roosevelt Wilson Park.

This year’s event will offer hamburgers and hot dogs, along with sides and an ice cream truck. There will be games (a bounce house, dunk tank, and scavenger hunt) and music performed by Mayor Rusty Knox, the Bailey Sweet River Band, Multiply Church- Lake Norman and more.

Tents with tables and chairs will be provided so that attendees are comfortable and have plenty of seating. The Davidson Police Department will distribute information and items from the Watch for Me NC initiative to educate residents about pedestrian safety.

A variety of community groups will be there as well, including the Davidson Public Library, Ada Jenkins Center, Marines and local Scouts.
