April 19. The Davidson Fire Department held a Captains Promotion Ceremony during the April 12 board meeting. The ceremony included a badge pinning and Oath of Office for Rob Cannon, Chip “Skippy” Carr and and Jeffrey Williams.

Part-Time Captain Rob Cannon has served the Davidson Fire Department since 2011. Cannon’s previous service experience includes the Charlotte Fire Department as well as the United States Navy.

Engineer Chip “Skippy” Carr has served the Davidson Fire Department since 2017 as the full time Engineer assigned to Station 2 on “B” Shift. Carr’s previous service experience includes the Charlotte Fire Department along with time served as the fire chief for Ranlo Fire Department in Gaston County.

Engineer Jeffrey Williams has served the Davidson Fire Department since 2017 as the full time Engineer assigned to Station 2 on “A” Shift. Williams’ previous service experience includes the Charlotte Fire Department Communications Center along with the Huntersville Fire Department.
