Dana Frances Eller Jackson,93

Dana Frances Eller Jackson, of the Pines at Davidson, formerly of Cornelius, and the loving wife of the late Kenneth Edward (Ed) Jackson, died on February 15th, in the presence of loving family at the Schramm Health Center at The Pines.  She was born Nov 14, 1922, in Clifton, NC, to Millard Hansford and Dora Lewis Eller, the third oldest of 10 children.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ed, brothers Joe, Claude, and Bob Eller, sisters Clara Gray, Nancy Mowry, Virginia Carpenter, and Evelyn Eller.

Dana will be remembered for her generosity, creativity, patience and kindness.  She was always willing to lend a hand in her children’s school activities, at her church or in her community.    Dana was an avid gardener and became a fixture at the Cornelius Farmers market where she was known for her beautiful flowers and vegetables that she sold every week.  She was an accomplished seamstress and artist.  All animals, especially cats, held a special place in her heart.

Dana worked for 27 years for Southern Bell in the accounting department.

Dana is survived by her children, Becky Jackson of Atlanta, Ken and Linda Sherrill Jackson of Jefferson GA and their children Kenneth Eller Jackson Jr of Atlanta and Frances Elizabeth Jackson of Atlanta, Robert and Linda Oldenburg Jackson of Bay Village OH and their children Robert Drew and Melissa Dymek Jackson of Bay Village, Great Grandson Luke Jackson and Stacey Marie Jackson of Bay Village.   She is also survived by a brother, Millard Hansford (Bud) Eller of Davidson and Mary Eller Faris of Richmond VA.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Davidson, NC on Saturday, February 20, at 11:00AM.  It will be followed by Visitation in the Reception Hall of St. Albans.  Internment in the columbarium will be private.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Pines at Davidson for the many years of professional and loving care that they provided to Dana.  Additionally, they would like to thank the compassionate staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Lake Norman for their care of Dana over the last several months.
