Oct. 13. Statewide COVID-related hospitalizations have remained under 3,000 since Sept. 30, but the NC Dept. of Health & Human Services reported an increase of 41 coronavirus patients from yesterday to today.

The NCDHHS today reported 2,277 North Carolinians hospitalized due to the coronavirus.

Deaths

The NCDHHS reported 77 COVID-related deaths statewide.

New cases statewide

There were 3,239 new cases statewide.

Testing

The statewide positivity rate fell from 7.7 percent to 7 percent.

Mecklenburg

In Mecklenburg County, there were 235 new cases reported today, as well as 12 new deaths. The county-wide positive test rate was 7.6 percent.

North Mecklenburg (change from Tuesday)

Cornelius: 5 new cases, 3,942 cumulative total, 29 deaths cumulative total.

Davidson: 2 new cases, 2,287 cumulative total, 17 deaths cumulative total.

Huntersville: 9 new cases, 8,607 cumulative total, 73 deaths cumulative total.
