March 31. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services today reported 1,929 new COVID-19 cases, for a total of 914,132 statewide since the outbreak began a year ago. Thirty-six percent of NC adults have been partially vaccinated; 22.5 percent have been fully vaccinated.
Hospitalizations
Statewide, hospitalizations rose to 955, up from 924 hospitalized on Tuesday.
Deaths
There were 25 new deaths yesterday related to COVID-19 statewide, including one in Huntersville. In Mecklenburg County, the NCDHHS is reporting a total of 909 deaths.
Testing
The statewide positive test rate was at 6.5 percent in today’s report. Mecklenburg County was at 5.8 percent.
North Mecklenburg
Cornelius: 7 new cases, 2,677 cumulative; 24 deaths total.
Davidson: 6 new cases, 1,547 cumulative; 15 deaths total.
Huntersville: 15 new cases, 5,457 cumulative; 48 deaths total.
