June 11. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services at noon today reported 425 new COVID-19 cases statewide and 19 new deaths attributable to the coronavirus. The positive test rate fell to 1.6 percent statewide, another new low.

There are 48 new cases in Mecklenburg County, and one new COVID death, for a total of 972 since the pandemic began last year.

Hospitalizations are at 535 statewide, another new low.

North Mecklenburg (change from Thursday to today)

Cornelius: 2 new cases, 2,879 cumulative; 25 deaths total.

Davidson: 0 new cases, 1,692 cumulative; 15 deaths total.

Huntersville: 5 new cases, 6,039 cumulative; 53 deaths total.
