Cornelius Town Hall No. 1 in the polls

Oct. 23. In the first eight days of early voting in Mecklenburg County, Cornelius Town Hall is the No. 1 polling place. During early voting, all 33 polling places are open to voters, so there’s no telling exactly where in Mecklenburg County these voters came from. But Town Hall has logged 8,374 voters, well ahead of Bojangles Entertainment Complex (6,686 ballot cast) and Bank of America Stadium (6,450).

Hough High logged 6,027 voters; North Meck High got 7,142.

Early voting sites are open every day between now and Oct. 31.

Weekdays — from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Saturdays — 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sundays — 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Off days — Nov. 1 and 2, the last two days before Election Day
