New landscaping at the post office

When Dan White pulled into the Cornelius post office one day, he noticed the same thing most visitors see — a neglected landscape crying out for attention.

White, an executive with Wealth Enhancement Group and longtime Cornelius resident, decided to do something about it. Armed with little more than determination and a vision, he quietly got to work.

“I saw an opportunity to improve a space that so many of us use regularly,” White said. “It was a simple way to give back and contribute to the overall feel of the community.”

Over the following weeks, White planned, designed, and installed new ground cover and landscape elements entirely on his own time. He organized and funded the effort independently.

White said community involvement is a priority for him personally and professionally.

“Strong communities are built through small, consistent efforts,” he said. “This was just one way to contribute.”

I second LKN girl’s comments. Isn’t that a Federal property?
