Cornelius Ranked Among Best Towns in NC

Cornelius has been named one of the best places to live in North Carolina, ranking No. 4 statewide in a new list from HomeSnacks that also placed neighboring Davidson and Huntersville among the state’s top cities and towns.
The ranking evaluated 136 North Carolina communities with populations of more than 5,000 using factors including crime, income, home values and unemployment.
Cornelius earned the No. 4 spot, behind Cary, Davidson and Morrisville. According to HomeSnacks, Cornelius has a median household income of $113,767 and a median home value of $527,117. The town’s unemployment rate was listed at 2.4%.
HomeSnacks is an agency that compiles research and proprietary data to provide home buyers insights into cities and towns throughout the United States.

Davidson ranked No. 2 overall, with the report highlighting its small-town character, Davidson College connection and Lake Norman location. The town was listed with a median household income of $166,556 and median home value of $655,968.
Huntersville ranked No. 8 on the list. The report cited the town’s median household income of $120,516 and median home value of $550,755, also noting the proximity to the lake and number of breweries.
The rankings reflect the continued appeal of the Lake Norman area, where communities offer access to Charlotte while maintaining distinct identities. HomeSnacks noted that many of the highest-ranked places in North Carolina are communities outside the state’s largest cities.
