Nov. 29. By TL Bernthal. The owners of 760 Craft Works, which was originally planned for Cornelius, expect to open their brewery and taproom on Gilead Road in downtown Huntersville in the first quarter next year.

Wagner Ramsey, who lives on Green Dolphin Lane, said the 12-tap brewery will serve beer, cider, seltzer along with boutique wines that you won’t find at Harris Teeter.
Ramsey has been a home brewer for years and was looking for a new business venture. His son, Trey Ramsey, also of Cornelius, suggested they open a brewery.

Ramsey said they applied to Cornelius to allow the brewery on the rectangle of land on Kunkelman Drive between the Goodwill parking lot and the luxury Watermark condominiums.
The town required buffers for breweries and the Ramseys couldn’t build the 5,000-square-foot, two-story brewery without the town’s OK. In the two or three months it took to get the OK, the land was purchased.
Enter Huntersville
It wasn’t long before Ramsey got a heads-up that Huntersville might have a spot for 760: the old Huntersville Police station.
Ramsey said he had hoped to open the 8,000-square-foot brewery and taproom on Gilead Road last summer, but is now looking at opening in early 2023.
