Cooper’s lead widens

Nov. 19. Roy Cooper’s margin of victory over incumbent Gov. Pat McCrory continues to grow, according to Cooper’s campaign office. Cooper is ahead by 7,902 in the latest count, meanwhile McCrory’s election protests have been rejected by Board of Elections officials in Durham, Orange, Wake, Halifax, Lee and Mecklenburg counties. All boards are controlled by Republicans appointed by the McCrory Administration, according to the Cooper campaign office.
