Sept. 3. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools notified parents today that students are still experiencing a connectivity issue on school-issued Chromebook devices when used outside the school’s network.
Last night the district emailed parents to say that the state was experiencing a problem with its Zscaler security filtering system, which is a cloud-based service that protects enterprise networks and data.
“Our team is working closely with the vendor to resolve this issue as quickly as possible,” CMS said in a statement. “We understand how important reliable access is for students and families. We appreciate your patience and understanding while this is being addressed.”
CMS said it will provide an update as soon as the issue is resolved.
