CMS Board sets special meeting to decide on mask requirements

July 27. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education will meet in the Chamber Room at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center at 9 am July 30 to consider masking requirements.

Gov. Roy Cooper last week strongly encouraged face coverings in North Carolina elementary and middle schools, saying masks help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Anson County Schools have already voted to require students and staff to mask up while on campus, regardless of grade. On the flip side, the Caldwell County school board voted unanimously to make masks optional.
