Chuck Travis named to College of Fellows by Institute of Architects

Noted Charlotte architect Chuck Travis, the mayor of Cornelius, has been named to The College of Fellows of The American Institute of Architects. The Jury of Fellows selected him because of notable contributions to the advancement of the profession of architecture.” Travis, a principal in The Housing Studio in Charlotte, willl receive the Fellowship medal during the Investiture of Fellows Ceremony at the Institute of Architects Convention in Atlanta in May. Among other projects, Travis is the architect behind many of the substantial buildings in Birkdale Village.
