It’s all part of the classic Christmas in Davidson, which runs Nov. 30 to Dec. 2, from 6 pm to 9 pm all three evenings, complete with a light show, roving entertainment, a live nativity scene, artisan village and a children’s craft area.

  1. There is “Christmas in Davidson”, there is the “Christmas tree lighting” but for some reason, there is no longer a Christmas parade. I would like to know who decided to change our traditional Christmas parade to a Holiday parade and for what reason? Stop taking Christ out of Christmas!!

    • Excellent question Cindy. Makes me wonder if someone in town government might be afraid that a “Christmas” Parade might offend a few resident atheists and/or Muslims.

  2. Amen! If we are going to have “Christmas in Davidson” then have “Christmas” in every part. Stop trying to take Christ out of everything. Do your own thing if you don’t want it, but leave tradition alone.
