Christmas Day weather outlook

Dec. 20. If you’re hoping for a white Christmas, don’t count on it happening in Cornelius—or Asheville and Blowing Rock for that matter. Temps will be too warm for any white stuff any time soon, but widespread showers are likely

It looks like a pleasant weekend leading up to Christmas Day:

Friday: Partly sunny, high near 53.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, high near 56.

Christmas Eve: Mostly sunny, high near 59.

Christmas Day: 50 percent chance of showers, high near 55.

Santa Claus could not be reached for comment but a spokes-elf at the North Pole said Santa’s sled works “perfectly perfect” in snow, rain or dry weather conditions.
