Chick-fil-A opens with ‘thousands’ on first day

July 9. Chick-fil-A had a “fantastic” opening day, according to owner Joe Hatzopoulos. By lunchtime, he estimated serving more than 1,000 customers since opening at 6 am—one customer had been waiting since 4 am. There are about 30 employees working today.

The new drive-thru is open 6 a.m to 10 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 6:30 a.m to 10 p.m. on Saturday. The inside dining area is not ope due to COVID-19. It’s the second local location for Hatzopoulos, who also owns and operates the Chick-fil-A on Hwy. 21 south of Home Depot.
