Cain Center announces spring 2024 season

Nov. 15. The Cain Center for the Arts Spring 2024 season gets under way Jan. 6 with a black-tie optional celebration of its first anniversary featuring Broadway star Mandy Gonzalez. She is best known for her collaborations with renowned artist Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of Hamilton. Gonzalez was Angelica in the Broadway smash hit.

Also on tap are Doo-wop and R&B legends The Drifters (Jan. 19); Robin Spielberg on the $250,000 Bosendorfer grand piano, a gift of Cornelius resident Ed Bost (March 9); John Oats of Hall and Oats fame (April 12) and comedian Jeff Allen (April 13)

There will also be an encore performance by Forever Young—back Feb. 16 with more tunes from artists like Billy Joel, The Beatles, Queen and Michael Jackson.

The innovative Sons of Mystro will bring their unique performance fusing violin and reggae to Cornelius on Feb. 24.

The Irish group Socks in the Frying Pan brings their accordion, fiddle, banjo and guitar from County Clare in Ireland on March 15 just ahead of St. Patrick’s Day.

Dinosaur World LIVE

Dinosaur World LIVE is a family event on Easter weekend March 29-30.

There’s even a stunt dog show April 20, not to mention a Big Band performance by Joe Gransden March 8 featuring the music Tony Bennett made famous.

Buckets N Boards, a high-energy show with songs and tap dancing, is May 11.

The Charlotte Symphony closes out the season on May 19.
