Cornelius Police say a Hispanic man in his 20s broke into a residence “in the area of Cloverstone Circle and Edinburgh Square” and assaulted a woman inside.
Police described him as “younger, 20’s“ and wearing a black hoodie and brown shoes. The incident happened Tuesday, Jan. 29 at about 10:45 am.
The suspect attacked her inside the home, then fled on foot. The victim was injured and taken to the hospital.
Cornelius detectives are asking if anyone in the area of Cloverstone and Edinburgh Square has a video doorbell or cameras around their home to call them at 704-892-7773 or North Mecklenburg CrimeStoppers at 704-896-7867.
