Big Day at the Lake launches with more than $80K for Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Day at the Lake will be back this summer—July 24 to be exact—with a variety of corporate and individual sponsors.

The event, which supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas, will be streamlined due to the pandemic, but the goal of bringing people together remains.

Presenting Sponsors are Champion Tire & Wheel, Freedom Boat Club and South Creek Construction.

•Admiral sponsors include ACN, Bridgett and Don Rainey, Cashion’s, Carolyn and Jim Duke, Ericka and Bill Cain and The Short Family Foundation.

• Captain sponsors include Aquesta Bank, Ckezepis Law, Lake Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge and the Rolewicz Family.

• Commander sponsors include Advanced Wealth Strategies, Ann and Dr. Mike Miltich, Chantal and Denis Bilodeau, NC Rep. Chaz Beasley, Chris and Robbie Davis, KS Audio, Lake Norman Realty, The McIntosh Law Firm, Dr. Nancy and Jeff Tarte, North Main Financial Group, Rose Associates and Sharon and Mayor Woody Washam.

• Friends include Nancy and Mayor John Aneralla, Realtors Dixie Dean and Christina Stone, Dresslers, Juliann and Jim Toya and Thurman Ross.

All told, more than $80,000 will go directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas.

The traditional picnic for 600 or more participants at the Energy Explorium will not be held. Big Day at the Lake was cancelled last year.
