High school senior aims for $750,000 to help fight leukemia
Feb. 22. Maddie Rizzo, a high school senior who lives in Cornelius, has been nominated as the Student Visionary of the Year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. CRTPO awards more than $62 million for 25 regional transportation projects

The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) Board awarded funding for several regional transportation projects, including more than $14 million for road improvements in Cornelius and $3 million in Huntersville.
